oh the beauties of the ancient. the above is an amazing castle in switzerland that i spent a couple of hours trying to find the entrance to. i was expecting a draw bridge or something, maybe a big wooden door, but alas, technology stepped in and installed two chameleon elevators at the end of a dark alley.

we took a sweet gondola ride in venice, and chose this canal cab driver of sorts because we liked his outfit the best. throughout the ride he talked about how he loved going to "diso teca's" (in america that's clubbin'), had many girlfriends but loved only one, and basically took a moment of silence as we floated by cassanova's house. no joke. so classic.

for lunch we stopped at a little italian place that looked, what we thought to be the most authentic. the place in actuality was run by an asian man and woman, and john denver was blaring in the background. i ordered some awesome homemade lasagna (albeit it was about 3 times taller in the menu picture) and brady ordered pizza.

little did he know that it would be pizza with hot dog slices. buon appetito!

every car in europe is grey, dark grey or black. but somehow, we ended up with this neon gem for our rental car!

toodles, venice.
