the scenery was beautiful and all, but the highlight of the safari was the lion kill right off the side of the road! to use one of my dad's words (very appropriately might i add), it was killer.
traffic jam at the kill site. word of a good sighting spreads quickly in the bush.
the lions would eat and eat until their bellies were so full that they would drag on the ground.
the vultures were perched everywhere, waiting for the lions to abandon the kill so they could take over. btw, the meal was a big ol' african buffalo.
the remains after only about 4-5 days of feasting (from a variety of animals).
