koala me anytime

some of you may have already seen this, but you know how i am with pet pics/ stories.  the bit is quoted out of the associated press.

the above firefighter, named dave tree shares his water with an injured koala in australia's mirboo north, victoria.  tree noticed the koala moving gingerly on scorched paws as his fire patrol passed.  clearly in pain, the animal stopped when it saw tree.  the fireman offered a water bottle, and the koala "kept reaching for the bottle, almost like a baby."  koalas are especially vulnerable in fires because they move slowly.

i of course showed this to brady and all night we've been walking around the apartment on our tip-toes saying "hot! hot!  ooch!  hot!"
