cub's crib

do you hear that?  it's the sound of a drumroll.  finally!  the nursery reveal!  i also posted about it on cleverleyreviewed.com if you want to read more deets.

if only the process could be that quick!  i still want to add new handles on the dresser using crib scrap, more artwork, a bookshelf, and a rug.  in the meantime, here are some more detailed afters, as well as some during shots:

b's sweet mama sat out in the freezing cold in shorts and a t-shirt to strip and paint this puppy:

so this was originally a piece of office furniture that i picked up used.  i wasn't feelin' the cherry finish, so in addition to having it refinished, i had b cut down the legs to make it an appropriate changing table height.  b above sportin' the dresser-refinishing-when-it's-freezing-outside dress code.

and now that the really time consuming stuff is done, i can just enjoy this little cub.  i just love him so.
