back from barcelona, and it was amazing.
incredibly innovative architecture by antoni guadi. his attention to detail was spectacular, and his 3d signatures are all over the city.
it was a busy day and there were lots of people walking through pictures.
gaudi designed the spires of the above cathedral by making models upside down. he used weights and gravity to design.
awesome street performers, or in this case a street statue. i never did figure out exactly how he supported himself.
statue of christopher columbus, located at the site where he reported back to queen isabella after his first trip to the americas.
cool restaurants
sculptural rooftop terrace of a gaudi apartment building. some of the sculptures are stairwells, the others are chimneys.
looking in a mirror of one of gaudi's hanging models. my mom is so afraid of heights that even looking into this mirror was difficult for her. and yes i'm wearing the same shorts two days in a row.
gaudi even designed furniture.
AMAZING open-air market. oh my goodness, it is worth going to barcelona just for this. i'll conclude this post with more food images.
